“I'm happy to participate in anything that supports the memory of a fellow engineer. I hope the outpouring of activity around this road race will comfort them and remind them how loved Austin is and how much we all miss him."

"Our son brought so much light into the world, and even though he's no longer with us, we want his spirit to keep shining. This scholarship is our way of honoring his memory and ensuring that his kindness, generosity, and passion for learning continue to make a difference in the lives of others." #ShineAustinsLight

“From kindergarten classmates to high school prom dates, I will continue to shine Austin's light. Austin was dedicated, supportive, and selfless in everything he did. Now as a coach, I hope to instill the indistinguishable qualities of Austin in my athletes.I am proud to be running alongside the DHS Varsity Cheerleading Team in memory of Austin: a remarkable goalie, dependable peer and an even great friend."
