Austin Reardon Memorial Scholarship
The Austin Reardon Memorial Scholarship was established in 2023 in loving memory of Austin, a proud member of the Norwood High School Class of 2019. Austin was known for his leadership, kindness, academic excellence, athletic talents, and dedication to community service. More than anything, he had an incredible zest for life. His legacy continues to inspire all who knew him, and through this scholarship, that legacy lives on by supporting students who embody the same passion, commitment, and heart that Austin shared with the world.
In 2024, the first Austin Reardon Memorial 5K (AR5K) was held to raise funds for this important cause. With nearly 400 participants, the event was an overwhelming success, enabling us to award one $20,000 scholarship and five $1,000 one-time scholarships. We extend our deepest gratitude to every student, family, friend, and organization who made this event possible. We are already looking ahead with excitement to our third annual AR5K on October 11th.
The Class of 2026 truly surpassed our expectations in living up to Austin’s legacy. These students demonstrated leadership, compassion, dedication, and a strong commitment to both personal and community growth. We are proud to recognize and honor their efforts.
On behalf of the Austin Reardon Memorial 5K Committee, we offer our warmest congratulations not only to this year's winners but to the entire Class of 2026. Your futures are bright, and we are honored to have you carry Austin’s spirit forward. Thank you all for helping us keep Austin’s legacy alive through action, service, and love.
